Basic Bow is a Weapon in Raft.

Summary[edit | edit source]

The Basic Bow is a craftable ranged weapon used to hurt enemies. It shoots Stone Arrows (2 damage) or Metal Arrows (3 damage), which deplete a single use for every arrow fired. The arrows drop soon after firing, so in order to shoot enemies further away the player must compensate for height lost when shooting.

Arrows fired can be retrieved from enemies, as long as the player hasn't looted their bodies. Looting enemy bodies will not return arrows, so it's advisable to loot arrows first. Arrows can also be picked up from the ground if the target was missed. Shooting the Shark in the water is also an option, though the arrow loses velocity quickly once in water. Do note that arrows sink in water and will not collide with the ocean floor. If not caught in the water, they will disappear under the game map.

Although named the 'basic' bow, there is no upgraded version currently in the game. Instead the bow can shoot upgraded arrows which deal additional damage.
