Biofuel Refiner is an Other item in Raft.
Summary[ | ]
The Biofuel Refiner can be built after researching it using the blueprint found at the Ranger Station on Balboa Island. The Advanced Biofuel Refiner is an upgraded version of the Biofuel Refiner. Mixing Honey and raw food items in the Biofuel Refiner will result in Biofuel, which is used to power the Engine and the Battery Charger.
Uses[ | ]
- Mix raw food and Honey in the Biofuel Refiner. After about 3 minutes 30 seconds it will output Biofuel, which is one of the fuel sources used to power the Engine and the Battery Charger.
- Can be painted any colour with the Paint Brush.
Mechanics[ | ]
The Refiner turns one Honey into one Biofuel in a 1:1 ratio. To turn the Honey into Biofuel, the Refiner uses raw food which is kept in a container next to the Honey. When the Refiner is empty, the value of the contents of this container is 0. As the player puts raw food into the Refiner, the number increases depending on the item added. Different items have different values, which, in practice, means some raw foods fill up the container faster. The max capacity of the Refiner is valued at 400. To make one Biofuel, 200 units of raw food are spent. This means that a full container of raw food is good for two Biofuel conversions.
