Mudhogs are Threats in Raft. They are one of multiple hostile creatures.
Summary[ | ]
The Mudhogs are creatures found on Caravan Island and on islands within the Desert Biome. Mudhogs will attack the player by charging at them. When a Mudhog is killed, its parts can be harvested by interacting with it. They do not respawn when killed, and do not drop a head.

The Mudhog can be killed quickly on land with a Basic Bow and arrows. When the Mudhog has been encountered, hold the charge button for the bow and fire at it repeatedly whilst strafing and jumping around. Since this can be done very quickly, the arrows that have been fired into the Mudhog can be retrieved as long as the body has not been picked up yet and the arrows themselves haven't despawned. This strategy can be combined with the general strategy of going out of range for the enemy and firing arrows from there.
Trivia[ | ]
- After having started its charge, the Mudhog may get stuck charging on the spot if the player is in an unreachable position.
- Mudhogs have become sick with a form of Salmonella this is the reason why they don't drop any Raw Meat or Animal Heads
