The act of coming back to life in Raft.

Summary[ | ]

There are different conditions in case of player death depending on the Game Mode chosen. However, the world is saved upon death under all cases, so death cannot be avoided by loading a previous save.

Creative[ | ]

Player is immortal and cannot die.

Peaceful[ | ]

If you respawn in Peaceful, your inventory is not lost. If you have a Simple Bed and respawn in it, you get up with 50% Hunger and Thirst, and 25% life. If you have a Hammock and respawn in it you get up with 75% Hunger and Thirst and 50% Life.

Easy[ | ]

If you respawn in Easy your inventory is not lost, as with Peaceful. If you have a Simple Bed and respawn in it, you get up with 50% Hunger and Thirst, and 25% life. If you have a Hammock and respawn in it, you get up with 75% Hunger and Thirst and 50% life.

Normal[ | ]

If you respawn in Normal your inventory is partially lost. Tools and equipables (where applicable) lose durability and items from stacks go missing. If a tool or equipable loses too much durability as a result of death, it will be lost as if it was broken through normal use. If you have a Simple Bed and respawn in it, you get up with 50% Hunger and Thirst, and 25% life. If you have a Hammock and respawn in it, you get up with 75% Hunger and Thirst and 50% life.

Hard[ | ]

Respawning alone on Hard mode is not possible. The player must be carried to a Simple Bed or Hammock by another player in order to be rescued. Getting up from a Simple Bed provides 50% Hunger and Thirst, and 25% life. Getting up from a Hammock provides 75% Hunger and Thirst, and 50% life.
