Hi ! Thank you for the fast edit on ItemBox, you rock. About the FR translations, is it possible to have a link in the "In Other Langages" category like the Russian one ? Should i add a "Raft_Wiki/fr" main page first ?

I can theoretically add it, but the problem is this should be used to link separate wikis, not language subpages. But as French project has enough articles, I am not against in topic of making separate French Wiki. --TreeIsLife (talk) 13:52, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

Oh okay i did not understood it that way, i thought it was still the same Wiki, with just a /<countrycode>/ in the URL of the same Wiki. It seems that i'm nearly the only contributor of the french version and i wont have enough time to keep it clean.

Well, you don't need to be very active, you should be just able to make some articles. The wiki will not be the most active from the first day, but in long term, it will have much higher success, than subpages, as the protentional wiki will be probably second or third result, when searching Raft Wiki. --TreeIsLife (talk) 13:23, 11 June 2021 (UTC)

Cargobox

I've updated the Itemdata table and added a field for ingredient 5 due to the recipe changes for Recipe: Catfish Deluxe. I can't update the database to reflect the change, as it needs to be recreated see Template_talk:Cargo-Items for reference. --Youassassin (talk) 13:01, 29 June 2022 (UTC)

Polish Raft Wiki

Hi!

I'm admin of polish Raft Wiki. I noticed that you deleted polish interwiki from the main page. I guess the problem was that we didn't have main page at all but recently we have added (or the better word would be stolen :p) main page from your wiki and translated it. Can you add interwiki link back? If you deleted it because of something else let me know. I would also appreciate if you could link Polish wiki to the "Links" section at the bottom.

Hey there! So, first, implement MediaWiki:Fandomdesktop.css and update the ThemeDesigner to resemble this wiki (so we won't create more confusion). Also, try to implement few modules and templates for the infobox, since some pages have to use a special system. But the page translation looks ok --TreeIsLife (talk) 17:08, 26 July 2022 (UTC)

Chinese Raft Wiki

Hello!

I’m admin of Chinese Raft Wiki. The Chinese Wiki is... lacking in content, but I’ve been expanded some basic parts so far. I need your help! Many languages’ Wiki share the same main page and theme. I’d like to ask if Chinese Wiki could have the same outlook. Besides, could I import some templates from English Wiki? It will be easier to edit the Wiki with them. Please let me know what you think about that!

Hey there... and congratulations to becoming admin there.

The main page is actually already implemented... sort of. The customization weren't, as your previous admin became inactive and since CSS and JS files (and wiki theme overall) are editable only for admins. So, the first thing would probably be copying MediaWiki:Fandomdesktop.css and MediaWiki:Common.css to the zh(chinese) wiki. Also, you should change the wiki theme (in Special:ThemeDesigner) to be more Raft-y. And yes, of course, you can import templates. --TreeIsLife (talk) 14:03, 29 September 2022 (UTC)

I can let you know that there are no plans to remove Cargo for wikis that are already using it, as you can see it is still being supported today. Hey there! I'd probably missed the message, sry.

Yes, I had lot of concerns about Cargo. Fandom had already promised us to build a "SMW and Cargo alternative" for 10 years straight, yet no alternative. They deprecate something and won't give us an alternative.

Smaller concers, mostly about ads and promotions everywhere, even on diff pages. The second one is customisation, but since I wrote that message, we've got Mobile Theme Designer and hope for freely editable Mobile CSS.

On other hand, it is true my activity on this wiki is low. Raft is currently in a very confusing stage of development, since there are no new updates planned and the studio seems to be done with itself. My other admins, Deltaflyer and Oppaikun also dropped the activity on wiki. None of those said they are willing to edit, since the wiki is basically complete, with some exceptions, such as tutorial pages and Story.

I hope this explanation was sufficient and that I will reply to your messages sooner so it won't end up, as it did on Minecraft Story Mode Wiki, lol --TreeIsLife (talk) 18:27, 21 November 2022 (UTC)

Hello again, so as I was told, there hasn't been an alternative for Cargo yet, as there are no plans to deprecate it. So there hasn't been urgrency for a replacement for something that isn't going away.
