Smallest possible setup?[]
Definitely some bad info on the antenna placement requirements and "smallest possible" arrangement given by the screenshot.
- Simple Pythagorean theorem gives the diagonal distance of root-8 between the center antenna and a side antenna, which is less than 3 1/2.
- Additionally, placing two foundations exactly opposite each other gives a triangle area of 4 (width of 4, depth of 2), but if the wiki is accurate then we know from the placement of the top antenna that both side antennas can go closer to each other. We assume from the picture that root-8 is acceptable between antennae, so just rotate the side antennae toward the front of the table (along the 2-foundation circle) until they're root-8 apart from each other. This creates an isoceles triangle which is root-8 wide, and 2 + root-2 deep, which is just over 3 foundations of area, much smaller than 4.
And that's only using the information available on the wiki page! Who knows what the actual best would be if the information were more accurate. 00:42, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
